Asked Questions (FAQ page).
Below,
we have tried to answer the most common questions visitors to our
Web site may have. If you find that your question is not answered
on this page, please E-mail us at steve@tonerusa.net and we will
happy to answer your question.
Q.How many times have you called the service company to
clean up accidental toner spills?
A.Did you know that 95% of the time when you spill
toner inside your copier it is only inside the front
door
area and has no effect on the operation of your machine. Toner is a
micro-fine powder that will
go
through a standard vacuum filter, that is why service companies use
a special vacuum and filter to
trap
this material. To have a service company come in and take 10
minutes to clean up a toner spill
will
cost you a hour of labor plus tax. This labor charge can cost you
between 90.00 and 160.00 dollars.
Not bad
for 10 minutes worth of work! There is a solution,
go to our (cleaning items page)
and you can
purchase
the same cleaning rags used by service companies to clean up the
toner without all the labor
charges.
We are here to save you money!
Q. What is generic copier and printer supplies? A. Generic copier and printers supplies are made by leading manufacturing companies that compete with the manufacture of your office equipment. The generic supplies will meet or exceed the original supplies and will cause no harm to your equipment or cause any copy quality problems. You can compare these generic supplies to generic medicines. Q. What is a copier drum? A. A copier drum is the photo conductive unit in your copier that with several other components produce your copy. When your copier drum is scratched, over used past its life cycle or is damaged in any way, you will have copy quality problems. Many consumers live with copy quality problems for years because retail pricing on copier drums are very expensive. We are going to help you by providing you with wholesale pricing on copier drums, just pay your service provider to install it. This will reduce your service cost greatly. Q. Why should I buy your toner instead of buying toner from an auction house or an dealer of used/surplus goods? A. Toner is sensitive to heat and moisture. toner for laser printers, fax machines and copiers can be damaged from higher heat and if moisture contaminants the toner. Bad toner will cause damage to the developer as well as copy quality problems. This is why we direct ship the toner directly from the manufacture to you to assure quality control and to prevent damage. Installing bad toner into your copier will cause additional expense for a service call. Q. I have some old toner from my previous copier, can I use it in my new copier? A. If your copier model is not listed on the toner bottle do not install it into your current copier. Toner is made of different components as it also melts at different temperature. The wrong toner will become a very expensive venture for you!
Q. I have a black line on my copies.
A. be careful on calling the service company when
you have a line on your copies when you are using a digital copier.
Digital copiers have two separate pieces of glass for producing
your copies. There is the large glass for placing originals like
books under the document feeder and there is a small piece of glass
nest to the scale (number) plate that the original use when you run
copies through the document feeder. Lets troubleshoot
it! take one original that is clean and lay it on the
large glass and make 2 copies, then check the copies for a line.
Now take the same clean original and run it through the document
feeder and check the copies for a line. If the line only appears on
the copies you made with the document feeder then you have ink,
dirt, liquid paper or something on the small glass. Note:
black ink is hard to see and make take you cleaning this glass
several times. Don't pay your service company an hour of
labor for one minute of work. If the line is on all of your copies
from both pieces of glass then you have a problem with your Drum,
Drum cleaning blade or your heat roller.
